Bespoke – The Ultimate Kitchen Design

Your house doesn't feel like a home until it's really personalised in line with your style and tastes. And as the heart of your home, you'll love spending time in a kitchen that feels distinctly yours. That's why bespoke kitchens are so popular with those who want to bring a new lease of life into their spaces.

A 'bespoke' product typically means it has been made for a particular customer. So, how does this apply to kitchens?

What is the difference between a bespoke kitchen and a standard kitchen?

A standard kitchen refers to a pre-existing design that will be implemented in your own kitchen. However, a bespoke kitchen gives you the ability to use a standard kitchen design as a template but then tailor it to meet your aesthetic preferences and practical requirements. For example, you could change colours and materials and incorporate different appliances.

Working with a professional kitchen designer, you'll be able to make your dream kitchen a reality and choose exactly how you want it to look and function. This approach offers much more flexibility as you aren't constrained by the limitations of a standard kitchen.

What are the benefits of a bespoke kitchen?

Your bespoke design will look exactly how you want it to and your designer will also ensure it perfectly matches your needs. For example, a bespoke design may suggest clever storage options to keep your kitchen-clutter free and make the best use of the space available. Or if you use your kitchen as a social hub, your designer will ensure the final result is somewhere you love to relax as well as cook. Bespoke designs can also accommodate more specific requirements you may have, like a place to display a piece of art or the incorporation of a pantry larder.

The ability to add these personal elements mean not only do you get a kitchen tailored to your wants and needs, but there's also the added thrill of knowing that nobody else will have a kitchen exactly like yours.

How long does it take to create a bespoke kitchen?

As every bespoke kitchen is different, it is impossible to give a clear answer to this question as it will totally depend on your requirements. A rough rule of thumb is 14 to 24 weeks but your kitchen designer will be able to provide a more accurate timeframe during your initial consultations.

How much does a bespoke kitchen cost?

Different bespoke kitchens will have different price points depending on their specifications. It's wise to have a rough budget in mind and your designer will be able to work with you to create a kitchen you love and within your budget. There are lots of cost-saving measures they may suggest, such as different materials, appliances, or storage solutions that still meet your requirements.
