Phenomenal cityscape artist, Neil Dawson, will be bringing the city to life with a rare appearance in Nottingham

Following on from the hugely successful ‘NY:LON' Tour, the international artist, will be showcasing his latest release of works with an appearance at Castle Galleries, Nottingham on Sunday 16th May from 12-3pm.

Neil Dawson's newest releases capture an expanded array of cosmopolitan cities portraying iconic scenes of London, New York and now, a first look at his unique take on the romantic city of Venice.
Of his new collection Neil says: "In the search for many more inspiring cityscapes, Venice was natural and enjoyable subject matter. It's a beautiful, grandiose and romantic city, I hope my interpretation will inspire a visit or bring back fond memories for art lovers."

Despite studying art in his early years, Neil was put off as he struggled with some aspects of the course, changing his career path completely, to study a degree in economics. It was not until an extended period of travelling his love for art was rekindled.
"Being constantly exposed to beautiful, enchanting, strange, evocative, provocative, bewildering environments was a defining experience," Neil explains. Realising what he had been missing, he dusted off his palette and started to paint in an attempt to recapture some of the sights and feelings from his travels.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to meet Neil in person and discover for themselves what inspires his iconic depictions of dynamic cityscapes. Castle Galleries Nottingham will be showcasing a selection of limited edition and original work by Neil Dawson on Sunday 16th May 12-3pm. Art from Neil's new collection start from £450.
