Fashion Show Success

The fashion show and shopping event held at The Exchange on 29th April was a run-way success, with hundreds of people attending.

The organisation of the show was assisted by NTU student Charlotte Doxey, who is in the final year of her Fashion Marketing and Communications degree. The modelling for the event were also exclusively done by students from Nottingham Trent University. The half hour show, which featured clothing and accessories from all the stores in the centre, was staged in the magnificent central arcade of The Exchange and was greatly enjoyed by the crowd.

Claire Carrier, from The Exchange's managing agents DTZ said, “ The arcade looked fantastic and was positively bursting at the seams by the time the show began. The students were terrific, with many people commenting after that they couldn't believe they weren't professional models. The Exchange is such a perfect setting for this kind of thing, we'll certianly be looking to do another event for the Autumn.”

Speaking after the show Charlotte Doxey commented, “ I can't believe it's over! It's taken a such lot of organising and I'm really grateful to all the students, both models and dressers, who gave their time for free. Everyone was so enthusiastic and looked fabulous!”

It was a great experience – if a little stressful! I can really appreciate the amount of work that goes into putting a show like this together now, so next time I see one I'll know just what they're going through!”

Inspired by the fashions they had seen on the catwalk, shoppers took advantage of exclusive discounts and offers in the centre's stores after the show.
